Coffee - Cobranded
Prompt: Create a unique coffee experience that stays true to brand while also complimenting the specialized experience of the parent theme park property. This project also marked the first pairing of two major international brands and would serve as a flagship for the brand in France.
Insight: Use the opportunity and budget to emphasize coffee houses' commitment to sustainability and rollout of new artisan design concept. Coordinating with the hosting brand, the exterior also needed to complimented the existing architecture, be noticable amongst the visual clutter, and also soften and humanize the overall look.
Solution: Framed out store entrance with reclaimed wooden pieces: a lattice tower of wine barrel staves and an oversized and jaunty window frame in barn wood slats. This wood was complicated by on brand green paint, backlit cut steel siren logo and steel trellis structure. The interior finishes and furnishings took a nod from French industrial modernist Paul Charreau. The layout and store operations were adjusted to meet high capacity need. Finally, the store's commitment to passive heating/cooling, efficient water and energy use, as well as recycled and clean materials resulted in earning LEED platinum status.
